We've made a lot of exciting improvements recently, and have even more planned here at Camp Fimfo Waco! The New Year always brings excitement - and this year is no different! 2024 is for vacationing more, and we want you to join us outside at our top-rated Texas campground this season! We're amping up the fun with new attractions, new themes, new activities, new deals, and more! Keep reading to see what is in store at Camp Fimfo Waco in 2024.

Inside a Bosque Cabin at Camp Fimfo Waco

#1: New Cabin Type

A new cabin type is now available to book at Camp Fimfo Waco! Check out the Bosque Cabin — a cozy A-frame cabin that sleeps up to 2 people. Stocked with basics, equipped with A/C and heat and featuring a quaint front porch, making for the perfect getaway or staycation for two. Bathhouses and showers are just a short walk away!

#2: Improved RV Sites

In response to guest feedback, our pull-through RV sites have undergone some recent upgrades back in 2023! In case you missed it, here are the changes you'll see during your next RV camping getaway:

1. Widened concrete to allow for additional parking and to create less mud and mess
2. Extended concrete out an additional 10ft to allow more space for RV steps
3. Additional sewer hookup 15ft back to accommodate longer RVs and to minimize the need for hookup extensions

#3: Camp Fimfo Campout Spring Concert Series

We heard y'all loved the inaugural Camp Fimfo Camput Concert Series so much, that we thought we'd bring it back again... and not only in the fall, but the spring too! In addition to a 2024 Fall Series, there will be a Camp Fimfo Campout Spring Concert Series as well! More details will be announced in the near future, including the date and epic lineup of performers, but for now... keep an eye out so you can save the date and mark your calendars. Camping packages will be available, as well as ticket-only purchases.

#4: Bosque River Rentals

Did you know!? You can now add a river rental to your reservation and explore the Bosque River right from our Waco campground. As of Summer 2023, we have both tandem and solo kayaks available, both are open cockpit and great for all experience levels. Or opt for a stand up paddleboard while you spot wildlife along the way. Life jackets are provided with every reservation. Book by the hour or for a full day while on-site, or secure your rental ahead of time when booking your stay on Campspot!

We've also installed a dock, allowing you to access the Bosque River directly from our campground any way you'd like!

#5: New Themes

New year, new themes! Choose from over THIRTY themed weeks & weekends in 2024. You'll see some of the same awesome themes from 2023, like Keepin' It Reel and Shark Week, but you'll also find some new themes sprinkled throughout the year like May The Fourth and Summer Games! Every themed week or weekend will have daily activities, specialty food & drink menus and fun events. You can find the full list of themes, as well as daily activities here.

#6: New Deals

To help you get outside and book a camping getaway, we're raising savings on a few of our deals this year! For our 4-Night Deal, cabins stays are 25% off, and for our 5 and 7 night deals, cabins are now 30% off your entire stay! Add a 3rd night to your weekday stay and get 50% off the 3rd night. #7: Fimfo Field Wiffle Ball

Hey batter, batter! Camp Fimfo Waco now has its very own on-site wiffle ball field, Fimfo Field! Gather your friends and family, get a team together and battle it out in a friendly game of wiffle ball. While you're there, be sure to check out the fun, nostalgic signage around the field!

#8: Dog Park

This one's for the pups! Our new Dog Park is officially open! Not far from the cabins and RV sites, the Camp Fimfo Waco Dog Park is tucked away among the trees, providing a safe shady space to take your furry friend to release some energy.

#9: Fimfomaniac Beer

Looking for a unique craft beer to fancy those tastebuds? Look no further. Squirrely's Tavern at Camp Fimfo Waco has released a one-of-a-kind draft beer — Fimfomaniac. A wheat ale with hints of coriander, black pepper and lemon drop hops, available on tap for the 2024 season!

#10: Fishing Pond

The Camp Fimfo Waco pond is open and guests are able to catch and release fish! Bring a fishing pole and venture out to the center of our Texas camping resort for some outdoor fun. Fishing supplies are also available for purchase at the General Store.
