Visiting Canyon Lake is a must do for a Texas Hill Country Vacation.

Canyon Lake

Roughly 20 minutes from our camping resort, sits the beautiful Canyon Lake, one of Texas Hill Country's most well known and favored scenic places to visit. Between 2 swimming beaches, boat rentals, and more, there are plenty of ways to spend the day enjoying the lake. Soak up the sun, spend the day splashing in the water, or enjoy the view boatside. A vacation in Texas Hill Country isn't complete without a trip to Gruene!

Gruene, TX

There's nothing like the quaint town of Gruene! This darling town is only 15 minutes down the road and worth every moment. There is so much do while visiting Gruene that it is easily a must stop on your Texas Hill Country journey. Start the day off at Gruene Coffee Haus, then do some shopping at the local stores, followed by grabbing some dinner at the Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar, and finally end the evening at Gruene Hall - Texas' Oldest Dance Hall.

Float the Guadalupe River

You can't visit Texas Hill Country without taking a float down the Guadalupe River! We're lucky that our camping resort is right on the Horseshoe Bend and located so close to tubing rentals and river trips. Right around the corner, a 1 minute drive or few minute walk, is Whitewater Sports, which offers the easiest rental options for those staying on site with us. This is the perfect way to make your Texas Hill Country vacation one to remember!

Enchanted Rock

Enjoy a bit of exercise and some views at Enchanted Rock. One of the coolest spots in Central Texas, Enchanted Rock offers both stunning views and tons of rich history to enjoy. Explore the area by hiking, rock climbing, or even shopping at the park store. Enchanted Rock is about an hour and 30 minutes away from Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country but is worth the drive if adventure is on your to do list! 

Explore Luckenback offers a variety of things to do during your Texas Hill Country vacation.

Luckenbach, TX

Located an hour away from our camping resort, Luckenbach is a tiny town in Texas that we are sure you'll love. It is a little further of a drive than some of our other recommendations, but if history is something you cherish, than Luckenbach is the place for you!
