Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival: September 23 - October 29

This fall event in Dripping Springs, just outside of Austin, has 50+ games, activities and other fall-inspired things to do. Pumpkin photo ops, a train ride, and seasonal food and drinks are just a few examples of what the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival will be offering. Housed on the 5-acre Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead, a Texas State Historical Landmark, and filled with oak trees, it's the perfect backdrop to celebrate autumn and the perfect fall activity to do with kids!

House of Torment: September 29 - November 4

Dubbed the "Scariest Haunted House in America" by the Travel Channel, House of Torment in Austin is a world-famous Haunted House! This ultimate Halloween experience has unique attractions within that all have a spooky backstory. This Halloween event in Austin, TX is not recommended for children under 13... things can get pretty scary! Plus, if you're looking to make your Halloween night out extra spooky, check out the Torment Tavern, a horror-themed bar located within the haunted house. 21+ guests can enjoy spooky cocktails before or after the frightful fun in the haunted house.

Austin City Limits: October 6-8 & 13-15

One of the biggest and best festivals to happen in the fall in Austin, Austin City Limits offers two full weekends of live music on 8 stages, featuring 100+ bands at Zilker Park. Austin locals consider this festival to be one of the best activities to do in Austin in the fall. There's plenty to do in between music sets and plenty of places to explore nearby. Halloween Weekends at Camp Fimfo: October 6-30

Halloween Weekends are BACK at Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country! With over 15 activities scheduled each weekend, we’ve got something scary and sweet for every ghoul, goblin, glamper and camper. Costume contests, site decorating, haunted trail, trick-or-treating, crafts and more!

Wander the Austin Zoo at night and hear the sounds of the nocturnal animals and take part in events like an animal show, spooky train ride and a haunted mansion. The Haunted Train Ride is a 10-minute ride through the Hill Country of the Austin Zoo! Boo at the Zoo is a fun evening event in Austin to take the kids and get in the fall Halloween spirit. Plus, the entire zoo will be lit up for Halloween and decorated! 

Wurstfest in New Braunfels, TX

Wurstfest: November 4-13

Join New Braunfels locals in this 10-day salute to sausage! Expect German food, drinks, music, dancing, carnival rides and more! For the past 6 decades, people from around the world come to New Braunfels, Texas to experience Wurstfest. Texas Book Festival: November 11-12

Calling all bookworms! The Texas Book Festival is a free annual event that happens every fall in downtown Austin. This community event brings together authors and readers to celebrate books and reading. You'll have the opportunity to listen to authors give keynotes or to purchase a new novel for the fall!
